Ye Verily

O coffee
Sweet life-affirming elixir
You are fine black,
But better with cream
And let us not speak of
Sugar
For like life,
you are better with
just a hint of bitterness,
ye verily.

You like your coffee like you like your women…….bitter and murky.

I take great pride in my coffee addiction, as should all Americans. And then that guy from Stuff White People Like made me feel all ordinary about it when I picked up his stupid book in the book store.

Better to inspire than expire I always say. (I’ve never said that.)

It’s true what you say about coffee and bitterness and life. I think it’s true.

    Hello, Sir.

I’ve always liked this Turkish proverb about the ideal cup of coffee: “Black as hell, strong as death, sweet as love.” Except for the sweet part, of course.

I think Shady has a point. Maybe you should sweeten her up a tad.

    Bossy enjoys
    her half and half

I have a similar affection for Dr. Pepper.
Except for the cream and sugar part.
